Your privacy
matters.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on STORM. This policy explains exactly what we do with your information — and why.
LAST UPDATED: SEPTEMBER 2026
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, profile data and content you create or share on STORM. We also collect information automatically through your use of the platform, including device information, IP address, usage patterns and interaction data. When you link third-party accounts (such as social login providers), we may receive basic profile information from those services.
Your information is used to provide and improve the STORM platform, personalise your experience, show you relevant debates and creators, communicate important updates, process payments and payouts, ensure platform security, and comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Payment transactions on STORM are processed through third-party providers (PayPal and Apple). We do not store full card numbers or sensitive payment credentials on our servers. We do retain records of transaction amounts, dates and outcomes for accounting and dispute resolution purposes.
We may share your information with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, analytics, email delivery, payment processing). These providers are contractually bound to handle your data in accordance with this policy. We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect the safety of our community.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure storage and access controls to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to contact us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable period, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records.
You have the right to access, update, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can manage most privacy settings directly from your STORM profile. To request data export or full account deletion, contact us at privacy@thestorminteractive.com. We will respond to all verified requests within 30 days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of STORM after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
